Industries / Fuel & Forecourt

Forecourts live fast, off the connectivity that was holding you back.

Fuel retail runs on connectivity at hundreds of remote sites, and legacy satellite links are slow to deploy, slow to fix and costly to run. Migrating an estate without disrupting trade is the hard part.

01 / what we do

Migrate the estate. Keep it selling.

XVOLV | CONNECT

Deliver & operate

Migrate forecourt estates onto SD-WAN over fixed wireless, sourcing the access, pre-provisioning the hardware and installing locally at each site, live in days rather than weeks. One accountable team across every market, so a multi-country rollout doesn’t become a multi-supplier headache.

XVOLV | INTELLIGENCE

See & prove

Beacon watches whether the link actually carries the pumps, payment and back-office systems at each forecourt — not just whether the site is online — so a degraded location is caught before it stops selling fuel.

02 / what’s at stake

What a forecourt can’t afford.

01

No connection, no sale

Pumps, payment and price signs all run over the link. A forecourt that drops can’t take fuel money, and the queue moves to the station down the road.

02

Remote and unattended

Sites are scattered and often unmanned. You can’t put an engineer on the forecourt every time a link wobbles, so it has to be right — and watched — from day one.

03

Legacy is expensive

Ageing satellite is slow to deploy, slow to fix and costly to run. Every month an estate stays on it is margin quietly leaking away.

Off satellite, across four countries

The situation. A supermajor oil company needed its forecourt connectivity moved off ageing VSAT — slow to fix, costly to run — onto something faster and more resilient, across four European markets, without disrupting fuel retail.

What we did. Working behind a channel partner, XVOLV Connect migrated the estate onto SD-WAN over fixed wireless, sourcing the access, pre-provisioning the hardware, and installing locally across Germany, Poland, France and Spain. Deployment began roughly two weeks after approval, and the pace was strong enough that our partner won a substantial seven-figure field-services contract on the back of it, which XVOLV then delivered.

The outcome. Forecourts migrated off VSAT across four countries, with delivery speed turning into a major commercial win for our channel partner.

Fast enough to win our partner a seven-figure contract, and we delivered that too.
